What We Provide
Everyone needs a little help from time to time and that’s where CCAP steps in.
As a homeless prevention program, CCAP is dedicated to helping clients stay housed while they navigate through crises. If you’re facing tough times and need assistance with finances, food, or clothing, we’re here to support you until you’re back on your feet. Within the limits of our resources, we strive to assist every individual who comes to us.
CCAP’s Unique Boutique
Come shop at our Unique Boutique! Our clothing house offers a wide range of items for all seasons and sizes. We provide professional attire as well as job site-specific items, including work boots, slip-resistant shoes, and other employer-specified gear, which require proof of employment. Additionally, we have linens and blankets available. In our Baby/Toddler Room, you can find clothing, shoes, diapers, and other baby care essentials, as well as children’s books.
Friendly Neighborhood Freedges
Our Friendly Neighborhood Freedge is a community refrigerator that is open 24 hours a day for all to enjoy. The Freedge is stocked by your neighbors and community members with fresh produce, items they don’t want to go to waste, pre-cooked meals, etc!

Financial Assistance
If you are employed, CCAP may provide assistance with rent, utilities, and car repairs. To qualify, you must present current proof of residency and the relevant bill or expense documentation. CCAP will make the final determination regarding the assistance provided. To access these services, please call to schedule an appointment. During this call, you will be informed of the necessary documents you need to bring.

Food Pantry
CCAP operates a Food Pantry for our clients in need, offering protein, produce, and canned and boxed goods. Cleaning supplies, hygiene products, pet supplies, and milk/dairy items are also available as supplies permit. The pantry is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and the second Saturday of each month.

Other Programs/Services
In addition to our core services, we offer various additional programs based on resource availability, thanks to our community partnerships.
Firewood: During the winter months, we provide free firewood through the Frederick County Rotary.
Eye glasses: The Host Lions Club helps us offer eyeglasses
Coats For Kids: The Winchester Rotary supports our Coats for Kids initiative.
Steel Toed Boots and Bicycles: If transportation or the right safety equipment is a barrier to work, CCAP may offer them on a limited basis.
Self-Sufficiency Programs– For clients who want a way out of poverty this may be a program for you This program is designed to help eradicate barriers to employment that affords you a truly livable wage
